15 minutes condensed into just over 1 minute. This is how I sew my 5/8” hexagons together to make the flowers for my Tussie Mussie pattern. I use one piece of thread (if I don’t break or get I knot it it 😉) and do a scoot between the glued on fabric and the paper hexagon once a side has been sewn together. I slowed it down on these parts so you can see. My hexagons are glue basted and I sew them together using Bottom Line Thread in white which is a 60wt polyester. I have a couple of reels of th

I’ve been slowly working on my queen size Tussie Mussie Quilt. I will be making 400 of these hexagon flower blocks (the epp part is complete - I’m now just hand appliquéing them to the background squares) so I’m thinking that I will sew them together in blocks of 25. Then when the 16 of these are finished it will be very quick to assemble. Such a slow project but as long as I do at least one a night, I keep progressing further. I just get so much joy from all those little fussy cut blocks! The o

I’ve sewn two units of 25 blocks together and I love how it’s coming together 🥰 That makes 100 of the 400 blocks done for my bed-sized Tussie Mussie quilt — officially a quarter of the way there! I had enough background variety in my finished blocks to make two full units of 25, which feels like a win.
